The first ocean-going container ship ARTAM of the HDASCO line was processed at the NLE terminal in Novorossiysk
On January 17, the first ocean-going container ship ARTAM of the HDASCO line, which is part of the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines, was processed at the NLE terminal in Novorossiysk.
The line will use ships with a capacity of 2,500-2,700 TEUs. Initially, two ship calls per month are planned.
The HDASCO line’s route network will connect the port of Novorossiysk with countries in the Middle East, East Africa, Southeast Asia, and India. The line’s base ports of call include Bandar Abbas, Jebel Ali, Kandla, Nhava Sheva, Mombasa, Dar Es Salaam, Zanzibar, Chittagong, Yangon, and Port Klang. In the near future, it is planned to extend the line to ports in China.
The new container service will significantly expand the geography of supply for Russian exporters and importers, which has been reduced since international container lines left the Russian market.
